dear lowflyingpigeon,

okay, so the blog sucks. i have nothing much interesting to say, and find that i generally don't work well without parameters or a deadline (therefore no content on blog).

with this in mind, i was thinking that maybe it would be worth setting parameters and deadlines (read: assignments, we all love those), and that the products of these assignments would be interesting enough to post here.

i'm thinking things like:
  • take three photos of random people on the street
  • go to a restaurant / show / exhibition and write a review
  • photograph what you eat for breakfast on april 30th
  • 250 words on a funny encounter
  • photos of sarah dressed as an anne geddes baby
  • a drawing or painting of sarah as an anne geddes baby
  • a youtube video
  • an album or movie review
  • a themed playlist or podcast
  • a mock-up of a new t-shirt or poster design, etc., etc.
first task is to compile a list of projects and deadlines that we all have to complete either individually or together - thoughts? you know i will hassle you, even if you don't want to do it, and although this whole effort will likely be fruitless, just humour me, okay. i work in an office, for christ's sake.

Bio for the Madonna of Bollywood

An entry by Sarah Custer:

Nargis: originally grew up as a Jew raised in Toronto. Had blonde hair as a child. Refused to get her nose pierced. Took piano lessons from David Foster, during a lull in his career (sidenote: he had two albums flop & almost got dropped from his label). Nargis then moved to Nova Scotia, where she developed a love for seafood. Her first kiss was with a young newfie named Connor O'Hanlon. He had one green eye and one blue. Connor's mom didn't approve of Nargis because she wasn't attractive. She wouldn't allow her to come over unless she put makeup on. Nargis broke up with Connor and realized she was better off on her own (sidenote: when Nargis won her first Immy (Indian Emmy) she thanked the O'Hanlon family for helping her find her independence as an actress).
